    Alumnus Wins 2017 Van Cliburn Competition

    Yekwon Sunwoo (MM ’13, piano) took home first prize in the 15th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, becoming the first South Korean to win the coveted top prize.

    Kyung Wha Chung Makes History With Bach

    At a concert in May, violin faculty member performed all six of Bach's solo sonatas and partitas in one evening, a remarkable feat for any performer, but given that Chung was waylaid by an injury that forced her take an extended leave of absence from the stage, one could call it daring.
